The project will be implemented in Transcarpathian region, Ukraine and in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county, Hungary  from 1 June 2012 to 30 June 2013.

General objective of the project:  Human resource development in the field of cycle tourism, information services, promotion, organisation development, cost effective building of bicycle road sections, Product Development, Visibility and Promotion activity, elaboration of conceptual documents. During the preparation of the project it was an additional target that the development is realized according to the needs, expectations of the future users, i.e. the cyclist community.

Targetgroup:  The target group of the bicycle road development is very versatile, it almost covers the whole society. Taking part in bicycle tourism does not demand significant investment on behalf of the target group. The great advantage of this type of activity is that it can be pursued by any age-group and all potential guests may use the opportunity to explore the target area by bike either as the single goal of the excursion or as a part of the travel. The ultimate beneficiaries of the development of bicycle tourism are partly the affected localities, municipalities, located along the bicycle road. The scope of beneficiaries also include catering and accommodation service provider businesses.

Specific activities during the project:
